Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation hosts another successful Night at the Races Event

Posted Date: 1/31/2019

The Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation held its second annual Night at the Races event on Friday, January 11 at the Kingwood Community Building. More than 140 people participated in the fundraiser, raising $10,200.

Hosted by the PMH Foundation for the first time in June 2018, the event was hosted again less than a year later after receiving positive feedback from the community. Attendance nearly doubled at the January fundraiser, along with funds raised for the Foundation.

Trella Greaser, Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation Board Member, explained her thoughts on the outcome of the event. “The Night at the Races was so successful for a couple of reasons. One being, it’s something new and different. It’s not your run of the mill fundraiser, this one is actually enjoyable for everyone involved,” Greaser said.

“Secondly, our community is so excited about the new hospital, and excited to be a part of bringing innovative healthcare to Preston County,” Greaser added.

The PMH Foundation hosts a range of events each year to raise funds for the hospital, but also to bring the community together.

“We have to find opportunities to get folks engaged here in Preston County,” Greaser said. “Prestonians seek out opportunities to join together with their neighbors and do something good. We look for new events and experiences, and we get excited to share these opportunities with our friends.”

The Preston Memorial Foundation will be hosting its biannual Gala on Saturday, March 30 at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place. A reception will begin at 6 p.m. and the fundraiser will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight. For more information, contact
